Join the Surf Coast Trek
It’s time to get excited about getting out amongst our great outdoors and doing it for a really great cause.
The Surf Coast Trek will be back for the fourth year in 2019 and registrations are now open for the 40km fundraising coastal walk being held on Saturday, 6 April 2019.
The annual fundraiser is a partnership between two local teams that are no strangers to tackling big challenges head on, it is biggest fundraiser for the Give Where You Live and Kids Plus Foundations.
Organisers expect close to 1000 trekkers will take on the personal, physical and often emotional challenge of trekking 40km through the iconic coastal ironbark forests, across stunning cliff tops, amongst exquisite wildflowers, and across long sandy beaches from Aireys Inlet to Torquay.
While supporting their community is what brings hundreds of participants each year, this year two lucky trekkers will be packing their walking shoes and winging their way out of Avalon Airport with a flight and accommodation package for two people to the beautiful Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. All trekkers who register before Friday 14 December will be in the running for one of the two holiday packages.

Talk to anyone who has taken part in the Surf Coast Trek and they will tell you how stunning the scenery is and that the day is a challenge. Why they keep coming back is that one day of challenge is nothing compared the challenges faced by local people and families who need the help of the Give Where You Live and Kids Plus Foundations. And over the past three years, the Trek alone has raised over $700,000 for the two foundations.
